New Jersey Alcohol Awareness Classes, DUI Classes, Drug and MIP Programs

• New Jersey Alcohol Awareness Classes Online. If you’ve been ordered by a court in New Jersey to attend alcohol awareness courses for an alcohol related infraction or are seeking preventative education, we have the specialized class for you. Our online courses fit into any schedule!

• Online DUI and Driving While Intoxicated Classes for New Jersey. NJ has some of the highest rates of DUI's in the country. The state of NJ Department of Human Services Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Intoxicated Driving Programs does not currently allow online DUI classes to be taken. Clients with NJ addresses must attend their assigned Intoxicated Driver Resource Center and can’t go elsewhere. They can call the call center at 609-815-3100 with questions. • Online Classes for MIP in New Jersey. Have you been charged with Minor in Possession in New Jersey and are now required to attend court-ordered classes? Our online Minor in Possession classes for the “Garden State” will allow you to work at your own pace and from any computer.

• Online Drug and Alcohol Classes for New Jersey. Broaden your education and complete court requirements for substance-related offenses in New Jersey on your own time. Our low cost online drug and alcohol classes are available to you at any hour and from any computer.

Shows like The Jersey Shore can sometimes seem to glamorize drinking, especially in the younger generations. The cast gets drunk, falls all over the place. Imagine if you were watching any of them get behind the wheel.

Penalties for Driving Under the Influence in New Jersey

The penalties below for driving under the influence vary according to your Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) level and how many times you've been caught:

• First offense with BAC of .08% but less than .10%: You'll lose your license for three months, pay a fine ranging from $250 to $400, mandatory 12 to 48 hour stay at an Intoxicated Driver Resource Center (IDRC) with related fees, and insurance surcharges of $1,000 a year for three years. You may also be required to spend up to 30 days in jail.

• First offense with BAC of .10% or higher: You'll lose your license for seven months up to one year, $300 to $500 fine, mandatory IDRC stay of 12 to 48 hours with related fees, and insurance surcharges of $1,000 a year for three years. You may also be required to spend up to 30 days in jail.

• Second offense within 10 years of the first offense: You'll lose your license for at least two years, pay fines of $500 to $1,000, insurance surcharges of $1,000 a year for three years, mandatory IDRC stay of 12 to 48 hours with related fees (or 30 days of community service), and a possible jail stay of 48 hours to 90 days.

• Third offense within 10 years of the second offense: You'll lose your license for 10 years, pay a $1,000 fine, insurance surcharges of $1,500 a year for three years, mandatory IDRC of 12 to 48 hours with related fees (or up to 90 days of community service), and a possible jail stay of 180 days. *Source: dmv.org, New Jersey

Some of the most common areas include: Belle Mead, Edison, Essex Fells, Fort Lee, Freehold, Hoboken, Jersey City, Lawrenceville, Livingston, Madison, Mahwah, Marlton, Moorestown, Nutley and West Orange.

What to do in New Jersey:

This may come as a bit of a surprise, but there is so much more to New Jersey than the now infamous Jersey Shore. Yes, this state is home to some fabulous beaches and nightlife, but it is also home to some spectacular outdoor sites, history, and exhilarating attractions.

Vernon’s Mountain Creek offers year-round fun with wonderful ski slopes in the winter months and one of the state’s biggest waterparks for the summer months. Other outdoor activities include mountain biking, hiking, canoeing, swimming, and tubing in one of the state’s national parks or recreation areas.

For an even more blood-pumping good time, spend the day at one of New Jersey’s fun-filled amusement parks, such as Six Flags Great Adventure, Wild Safari, Hurricane Harbor, or Woodlands. Come nighttime, check out the sites, culture, and good eats in Jersey City with the Manhattan Skyline as your background.
